Description of the excursion:
The walk to the church of San Gallo is the easiest excursion starting from Albergo Adele. This walk, easy and almost without any particular difference in altitude, is suitable for everyone and is walkable also with pushchairs.
Starting from Albergo Adele you go up on the right hand side along via Monte Braulio and, after 50 meters you will take the first road that you meet on the left (via San Sebastiano). After another 50 meters you turn onto the first road on the right, “via U. Martinelli”, that you follow until its end near the hairpin turn of the national road of Stelvio. This hairpin turn is recognizable by the writing “Bormio” on the wall. You can cross the road safely using the convenient underpass where the foot path/bike path starts and accompanies you, after crossing the river Campello and running along the golf course, until the church of San Gallo.
Along the way there you can enjoy a beautiful landscape on the great meadow of Molina. Offsetting this incredible view is the big dolomitic wall of Mount Reit with its rugged screes and larch forest. After walking 1500 meters from the hotel you reach the destination, the picturesque and historical church of San Gallo, the unquestionable queen of the Molina meadow.
Once you arrive at the church, you follow back the way you came until the starting point, with the background overlooked by the pyramidal shape of mount Tresero. The route that we suggest to you runs along secondary streets, but the traffic is not annoying and doesn’t diminish the beauty of the excursion. This route is walkable all year round.
