Project Description

ROAD CYCLING

From right outside the hotel the climb to the Stelvio pass, the Cima Coppi par excellence, begins. Twenty-one kilometres of uphill climb through canyons, historic tunnels, hairpin bends, meadows and glaciers. Cyclists from all over the world head to Bormio to take on our legendary mountain passes. Aside from the Stelvio there are also the road up to the Cancano lakes/Torri di Fraele, the Gavia pass and the daunting Mortirolo pass, symbol of the unforgettable Marco Pantani.

MOUNTAIN BIKE

Mule tracks left by the First World War criss-cross the local mountainside, enriching mountain bike excursions with history and culture. In addition to these fascinating examples of human endeavour there are hundreds of kilometres of unpaved roads and paths that unwind around the Stelvio National Park.
