The itinerary proposed here presents a precious landscape in an area that is undeservedly often overlooked by tourists. This excursion starts from the characteristic village of \u201cMonte\u201d, in the municipality of \u201cValdisotto\u201d. This small group of houses, inhabited all year round until the very recent past, is enriched by a wonderful little church dedicated to the Virgin of Snow.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Introduction<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This excursion starts from the characteristic village of \u201cMonte\u201d, in the municipality of \u201cValdisotto\u201d. This small group of houses, inhabited all year round until the very recent past, is enriched by a wonderful little church dedicated to the Virgin of Snow. The itinerary proposed here presents a precious landscape in an area that is undeservedly often overlooked by tourists.<\/p>\n

Description of the excursion<\/strong><\/h2>\n

From the car par located before the first houses of \u201cMonte\u201d, hamlet of the municipality of Valdisotto, take the road that crosses the little village. Once you reach the church you have to turn right. After the last houses take route 273\/1 that, turning left, goes in the direction of \u201cAlpe Zandilla\u201d. The road, with some steep sections, goes uphill along the new forestry road.<\/p>\n

After arriving at the locality \u201cPozzech\u201d take the old mule track that along route 208 continues until \u201cAlpe Zandilla\u201d. Once you reach the characteristic \u201cAlpe Zandilla\u201d turn right in the direction of \u201cCampaccio\u201d.<\/p>\n

The mule track gives way to a nice and flat single track that, apart from the first few meters, continues to be evident and well-signed for its whole length. This section of the route crosses a wonderful wood sometimes interrupted by clearings and stony ground rich in juniper and rhododendron.<\/p>\n

Follow the single track until its end where it meets the road that goes uphill from \u201clocalit\u00e0 Monte\u201d to \u201clago Campaccio\u201d on route 273.<\/p>\n

Take the road going uphill and in a few minutes you\u2019ll reach \u201cCampacciolo\u201d.<\/p>\n

Once you arrive at \u201cCampacciolo\u201d turn back the way you came and, following route 273, you will come back to \u201cMonte\u201d along the easy stone road.<\/p>\n
